What is Baptism?
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. It's a public declaration that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and have decided to follow Him.
When you are baptized, you are identifying with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Going under the water symbolizes dying to your old life, and coming up out of the water symbolizes rising to new life in Christ.
Who Should Be Baptized?
Anyone who has made the decision to follow Jesus should be baptized. It doesn't matter how long ago you made that decision—if you haven't been baptized since accepting Christ, we encourage you to take this step.
Baptism is not what saves you—only faith in Jesus does that. But it is an important act of obedience and a powerful testimony of your faith.
